The Q+ Primer Pack was conceptualized as a series of 10 primers, designed to familiarize members of the LGBTQIA+ community with the legal and organizational safeguards available to them. The goal behind this primer is to provide a comprehensive knowledge resource focusing on the avenues of recourse available to these marginalized communities. The primers cover different aspects such as constitutional rights of safety and security, civil liberties, political rights, rights to health and healthcare, and organizational safeguards.
The Q+ Repository was developed as a comprehensive database in August 2024, specifically designed for the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community in India. It includes information about professionals from various fields, such as legal aid, healthcare, mental health, and political support. Our goal, with this resource, was to raise awareness within civil society about the challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals, and more importantly, to offer the marginalized queer community with the support they might require. The repository has been shared with the Sukhad Foundation and other NGOs to bolster their ongoing efforts for inclusion and empowerment.
