The Q+ Webinar

In July 2024, we organized an informative webinar featuring Rajeev Kushwah, a distinguished advocate for queer rights and the well-being of LGBTQ+ individuals across India. The primary goals of the webinar were to highlight the lived experiences of LGBTQIA+ folks in India, discussing notions of queer community, care and support, and what allyship represents. The session also included a Q&A round, engaging over 50 attendees associated with the NGO Sukhad Foundation in meaningful dialogue and addressing their questions and concerns on these pressing topics.

The Q+ Fundraiser

As part of our project, we also organized and led an online fundraising campaign to support Sukhad Foundation’s mission of aiding the LGBTQIA+ community in achieving social and economic inclusion. The campaign successfully raised over 85,000 INR, which was allocated to furthering the Foundation’s efforts. Additionally, the funds were used to print 20 Q+ Primer Packs, which provided the queer community working with the NGO with a comprehensive briefing packet about their constitutional rights. This resource aimed to familiarize them with available support avenues and enhance their access to necessary tools and resources.
